Did you know that the Caesar was 'born' in 1969, making it 40 this year? Walter Schell's famous combination of tomato juice, clam nectar, Worcestershire sauce, celery salt and lime juice, is one of the most popular cocktails around - with over 350 million glasses being consumed each year!
The drink was developed to launch the opening of an Italian eatery in Calgary - Marco's. Clamato was also developed that year to complement the drink.
