Shoppers Drug Mart expands the distribution of Canadian Personal Chef Alliance packages to British Columbia and AlbertaThe Canadian Personal Chef Alliance (the "Chef Alliance") and Shoppers Drug
Mart are proud to announce that their new lifeEXPERIENCE package will be
launched in British Colombia and Alberta on November 7th 2005.
The Chef Alliance is Canada's largest association of Personal Chefs,
representing over 200 member chefs across Canada. The Alliance is operated
by President, Sonia Thapar out of Toronto, Ontario. A personal chef herself
trained in the UK and in Canada, Chef Sonia acquired the Alliance in May
2005, and has been working diligently to spread the word across the country
about the services that Personal Chefs provide. Currently the Chef Alliance
members service an estimated 36,000 events per year across Canada, and Sonia
expects this will double in the next two years as awareness builds and more
member Chefs sign on.
Due to the success of the Ontario distribution of the 'Bistro Dinner for
4'
package, available in over 400 stores in Ontario, Shoppers wants to offer
the package as part of the lifeEXPERIENCE program to BC and Alberta
customers. Sonia Thapar, President of the Chef Alliance says, "Distribution of
our packages has generated direct business for our member Chefs across Canada,
and has led to referrals, repeat business and an increased public awareness
about the availability and utility of our services."
In addition to the 'Bistro Dinner for 4' currently being offered, the Chef
Alliance has created another package that will also be available - 'A
Culinary Adventure for 4'. This new package will appeal to a wider consumer
base. In both cases, a Personal Chef from the Alliance will consult with
the client on the menu, purchase the groceries fresh on the day of the
service, provide the appropriate service and (best of all for the client)
clean up the kitchen afterwards. What more could a host and guest dream
for
- a relaxing, stress-free time to enjoy each other's company.
